Playing styles from Funk and R&B to Latin Jazz and hard bop, Mitchel has a fresh and innovative take on classic and modern styles of jazz. Mitchel currently resides in Los Angeles, performing as well as organizing live music events across the city.

      Mitchel was born in Massachusetts in 1994 August 28th into a musical family. Since the age of nine, Mitchel took piano lessons with a close family friend. It wasn't until the age of thirteen that Mitchel began taking lessons with Jazz Pianist Haim Pikholz. This is where Mitchel's love for jazz began. Mitchel began to form different musical groups and playing shows locally with friends throughout high school.

      After graduating from Hopkinton High School in 2013, Mitchel began studying at the Hartt School of Music at the University of Hartford, with jazz legends Andy Laverne, Javon Jackson, Nat Reeves, and Rene McLean. Since graduation, Mitchel has performed with his own band all over Boston and Los Angeles, as well as performing solo debuting his own fresh style.
